Introduction to Landscape Painting with Acrylic Paint

Gualala Arts is pleased to present “Introduction to Landscape Painting with Acrylic Paint” with instructor Marty Kitzel. The cost of the workshop is $70 for Gualala Arts Members, and $100 for Non-Members, for sign-up information contact Kendra at [email protected]. All proceeds from this workshop are a fundraiser for Gualala Arts.

This course will be focused on fundamentals and technical knowledge. Both methods of working in both light to dark and dark to light, opaquely and translucently will be demonstrated with a working section in each session. Demonstrations will include a basic how-to for mixing colors and creating a composition.

Instructor Marty Kitzel is retired from the construction industry but always kept drawing and painting in his spare time, taking on various projects from album art, to sign painting, to furniture design and portraiture. Marty divides his time between Gualala and Sonoma Valley, drawing, painting, and gardening. He also has extensive education in painting, and printmaking while studying at St. Bonaventure University, Buffalo State College, and earned a degree in illustration from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
